↳ You came from Signal Hill Community Association — here's what runs their site

For Calgary community associations & resident groups

The system behind Signal Hill — built for your community.

A beautiful public site and one simple admin that runs it all — events, hall bookings, memberships, payments and newsletters — the same way it runs Signal Hill Community Association. No more six apps and a spreadsheet.

The real problem

It's not your website.
It's the six tools behind it.

Most established organizations run on a pile of apps that don't talk to each other — and the gaps get filled by one busy person, by hand.

"But my spreadsheet works fine"

It does — until it doesn't.

Your spreadsheet got you here, and that's worth respecting. But a spreadsheet is a record, not a system.

A spreadsheet tells you what happened. It doesn't do anything — it can't take a payment, send a reminder, or stop a double-booking. Each of those still needs a person, and right now that person is you. I'm not here to change how you work — only to delete the manual parts.

01

Your time has a wage

Four or five hours a week of admin is around $7,000 a year you quietly pay yourself to do data entry. It only feels free because nobody bills for it.

02

Quiet leakage

The member never invoiced. The renewal nobody chased. The double-booked hall. Each one is real money that slips out without anyone noticing.

03

It all lives with you

The spreadsheet sits on your laptop and in your head. You can't get sick, take a real holiday, or hand it off — you don't own a system, you are the system.

04

It has a ceiling

Your method works at 50 members and strains at 250. The spreadsheet can't scale, and you can't scale yourself.

"My site is fine."
Agreed — I'm not touching what works. The website was never the problem; the back office is. Two different things.
"I have my own way of doing it."
Keep the way. We just take the copy-paste out of it — same logic, none of the manual labour.
"Why change? It works."
It works because you hold it together. The real question isn't "does it work" — it's "what happens the week you're away?"
"I'm not a tech person."
Perfect — you're exactly who it's for. You'll never open a settings menu. You text us, it changes.
The part no other agency shows you

A real back office, not just a pretty page.

Flagship build

Signal Hill Community Association

A whole organization — public site and back office — running on one OxOne system.

Community Association · Calgary
From a scattered stack of tools to one screen that runs the association.

Signal Hill was juggling event sign-ups, membership, hall bookings, payments, and a newsletter across separate apps — with volunteers stitching it together by hand.

OxOne built them a beautiful public website as the front door and a custom admin behind it: board governance, event registration with Stripe payments, members, bookings, invoicing, bookkeeping, and newsletters — all in one place.

What Signal Hill runs on it — today
  • One admin in place of 6+ separate tools
  • Online event registration with Stripe — paid at sign-up, not chased later
  • Hall bookings that can't double-book
  • Members, invoicing & newsletters in one place
  • Every payment auto-reconciled to the books

It's not a one-off

Two Calgary nonprofits already run on it.

Real organizations, real back offices — not mockups. Same system, fitted to each.

Straight answers

What you're probably wondering.

Is this just a website?

No. The website is the front door. The real product is the custom admin behind it that runs your events, members, payments, and newsletters — so your team stops juggling six apps.

We already have a website. Can you work with that?

Usually I rebuild the public site so it connects cleanly to the admin — but if yours is solid, I can build the back office and wire it in. We figure that out on the audit call.

Do we own it, or are we locked in?

You own your site, your data, and your Stripe account. The monthly retainer is for hosting and support — not a hostage fee. It keeps running whether I'm involved or not.

How is this different from Wix or Squarespace?

Those give you a public page. They don't run your operation. OxOne builds the custom back office — payments, registrations, members, bookkeeping sync — that a template can't.

Who's behind this?

OxOne is a small Calgary studio led by Chen Deng — a PMP-certified engineer who runs two of his own companies. You work with Chen directly (you text, he answers), with trusted specialists brought in for design and build so you're never stuck waiting on one person's calendar. And because everything runs on standard tools you own, your system keeps going no matter what.
