The Strategic Diagnostic

A 30-min screen-share. Then a plan or a $200 e-transfer.

No long discovery, no slide deck, no PDF. You share your screen, I read the books the way an operator does, and you walk out with a one-page plan worth $10K+/yr — or with $200 in your account. For trades and service businesses doing $500K–$3M in Calgary, Chestermere, Airdrie, Okotoks, and Cochrane.

Book a 30-minute call

Pick a slot on the calendar. First name and email is all I need to lock it in — phone number and business URL get captured on the confirmation page after you’re booked. No discovery questionnaire, no 15-question intake form, no slide deck.

Before the call, I’ll spend 10 minutes looking at your Google Business Profile, your website, and any public review pages. So when we start, I’m not asking you what you do — I’m asking you what’s actually keeping you up at 11pm.

What you bring
Last 12 months of P&L (or QuickBooks login). One Google Ads account login (or "I don't run ads"). The list of every SaaS you pay for monthly. That’s the homework.

30 minutes

Screen-share. I read your books like an operator.

You share your screen. I open three things: your P&L, your SaaS bill, and your ad spend. Then I ask about the three things you do manually every Friday afternoon. That’s where the leaks are.

I’m looking for the same things I look at on my own businesses every Sunday night: SaaS overlap ($400/mo for two CRMs that do 80% of the same job), ad waste (broad-match keywords that haven’t converted in 90 days), job-cost leaks (one estimator bidding 18% under everyone else), dispatch overtime (trucks late on Tuesdays because of a bad route), and quote-to-close drop-off (50% of estimates never followed up on).

I’m not selling you a website. I’m not selling you AI. I’m looking for $10K+ of cash that’s already inside your business and walking out the door every month.

What I do NOT do on the call
Pitch a retainer. Try to sell you a website. Talk about "AI strategy" in the abstract. Read off a slide deck. Disappear after with a 30-page PDF.

Within 24 hours

A one-page plan, or $200 in your account.

Within 24 hours of the call, you get one of two things in your inbox:

  • A one-page plan with the leaks I found, the dollar value of each, and the order to fix them. Yours to keep. You can hand it to your bookkeeper, your ops manager, or do it yourself.
  • An e-transfer for $200 if I genuinely couldn’t find $10,000/yr in identified savings. You walk away with cash and 30 minutes of an operator’s time. No sales pitch on the way out.

If you want me to fix what we found instead of doing it yourself, I’ll quote a Focused Engagement: $4,500–$6,000 fixed price, fixed scope, 2–6 weeks. No retainer. No monthly subscription. No contract. You pay when the work’s done.

What I look for in 30 minutes

Five places the cash usually leaks out.

Most $1M–$3M trades and service businesses I’ve looked at have at least three of these. Yours probably does too. The point of the diagnostic is finding which ones, and how big.

$
SaaS overlap
Two CRMs doing 80% the same thing. A scheduling tool that duplicates your dispatch. $200–$800/mo of recurring software you’re paying twice for.
G
Ad spend leaks
Google Ads burning on broad-match terms that haven’t converted in 90 days. Negative keywords missing. CallAsset not tracked. 20–40% of monthly spend usually recoverable.
T
Truck & dispatch waste
Routes built by gut, not by zone. Trucks late on Tuesdays. Overtime that’s structural, not seasonal. Parts inventory sitting on three trucks instead of one.
Q
Quote-to-close drop-off
50% of quotes never followed up on. One estimator bidding 18% under everyone else. No pricing floor enforced. Quotes that close 14 days late instead of 2.
M
Manual repetitive work
The 3 things you or your office manager do every Friday afternoon. Quote follow-ups. Review requests. Job-cost reconciliation. The stuff that should run itself.
L
Lead leaks
Phone rings — nobody answers. Email form submits — nobody replies for 3 days. The "we’ll get back to you tomorrow" that becomes never.
Why this is not a marketing agency pitch

I run two of these myself. Every Sunday night I read my own books the same way.

I’m the operator behind LAMOSE (drinkware brand — 4 international trade shows, six-figure revenue) and PharmacyPlus (Calgary retail pharmacy + travel clinic, six employees). Different industries, same operating discipline. Same SaaS bills, same ad accounts, same job-cost reconciliation, same Tuesday-late-truck problem.

When I look at your books, I’m not pattern-matching against a McKinsey case study. I’m pattern-matching against my own — the place I made the same mistake last quarter, the SaaS subscription I cancelled six weeks ago, the keyword I just paused on Google Ads.

That’s why this is a 30-minute diagnostic, not a 6-week engagement. The leaks are the same five places. After 30 minutes of looking at the right four screens, I know.

"The systems I'll suggest you fix are the systems I run on my own P&L every day."
After the diagnostic

Three doors, all of them no-pressure.

You walk out of the call with the one-page plan in your inbox. From there:

Door 1 — Do it yourself
$0
Yours to keep
Hand the plan to your bookkeeper, ops manager, or your 2pm Sunday self. Many owners run with the plan and never need me again. That’s a win.
Best for: Owners with internal capacity, or where the fix is mostly “cancel these 3 SaaS”.
Door 3 — Walk away
$0
+ $200 if no savings found
If the diagnostic genuinely couldn’t find at least $10,000/yr in identified savings, I e-transfer you $200 within 24 hours of the call. You walk with cash, 30 minutes invested, and zero sales follow-up.
Best for: Already running a tight operation. Worth checking, costs you nothing.

Worth 30 minutes? Book it.

First name and email is all you need. The whole call is a screen-share. If I waste your time, I e-transfer you $200. The math’s simple.
